A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Bellevue, WA. Duties

  • Manage and execute all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and file legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Represent clients in depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Conduct expert witness depositions and collaborate on case strategy development.
  • Provide legal counsel and updates to clients on case progress.
  • Participate in trials, providing support to senior attorneys and taking lead on select matters.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Travel for court appearances, client meetings, and depositions as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in litigation, with a preference for insurance defense, construction defect litigation, or casualty-related matters.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and legal research skills.
  • Ability to take and defend depositions, including expert witness testimony.
  • Must be able to manage a caseload independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Experience in trial preparation and court appearances is a plus.
  • Must reside within the Seattle, WA area and be available to attend in-office meetings and court appearances when required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Washington State.
