Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Northern California is seeking a Mid-Level Private Equity Associate to join its Private Equity Group in either its San Francisco or Palo Alto offices. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies on a wide range of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments. This position offers a hybrid work environment with some in-office expectations.

Location:

  • Palo Alto, CA

Duties:

  • Advise private equity firms and portfolio companies on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments
  • Handle a variety of corporate matters, providing legal advice on structuring and negotiation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions
  • Provide support in general corporate matters related to private equity clients
  • Draft and review transaction-related legal documents

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in private equity transactions
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments
  • Previous work experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm or with the SEC
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the California State Bar

Skills:
