Job Overview:
A family law firm located in Maplewood, MN, is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Associate Attorney to join its practice. Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, and other related areas
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
  • Represent clients in court, hearings, and mediations
  • Manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively with senior attorneys when necessary
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and other legal professionals
  • Participate in case strategy sessions and contribute to the firm’s litigation efforts

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience in family law preferred
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota
  • Experience with litigation, including courtroom appearances, is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • License to practice law in the state of Minnesota (Required)
