Family Law Attorney

A law firm in Denver, CO is seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will handle a variety of family law matters, including pre-divorce planning, adoptions, custody issues, and more. This role involves working collaboratively with a team while also being able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have significant family law experience, although those with recent family law practice experience in other legal areas are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload including litigation, pre-divorce planning, and post-decree modifications.
• Handle adoptions, asset distribution, and collaborative law matters.
• Represent clients in mediation and arbitration, focusing on custody, parenting time, and child support issues.
• Serve as a Parenting Coordinator/Decision Maker and handle relocation cases.
• Provide legal services for same-sex marriages and LGBTQ+ clients.
• Draft and review pre and post-marital agreements, protection orders, and spousal support matters.
• Offer unbundled legal services as needed.
• Advocate for clients with confidence in court and through legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Colorado Bar.
• Significant experience in family law is preferred, but those with recent family law experience from other legal areas are also encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment and independently.
• Strong drafting, writing, and research skills.
• Confident in court appearances and legal advocacy.
