Job Overview:

The Civil Litigation Attorney will primarily focus on professional and general liability, product liability, and tort and liability defense cases. The successful candidate must be admitted to the Massachusetts and Maine State Bars or possess a sufficient Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) score to be admitted to the jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of litigation experience, with a preference for professional and general liability experience. Strong legal research and writing skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including professional and general liability, product liability, and tort and liability defense cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Manage caseload effectively and efficiently, meeting deadlines and case requirements.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts and Maine State Bars or eligibility for admission via UBE score.
  • 3-10 years of litigation experience, with a preference for professional and general liability experience.
