A well-established, mid-size law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Duties

  • Meet with clients, claim representatives, expert witnesses, and other relevant personnel to discuss case work.
  • Conduct legal research to support ongoing case strategies and arguments.
  • Prepare legal documents, including deposition summaries, motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
  • Attend hearings, court proceedings, and other mandated meetings.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to manage cases effectively and deliver positive outcomes for clients.

Requirements

  • Admittance to the Indiana Bar is required.
  • 0-4 years of experience practicing law, with a preference for candidates with litigation experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities concurrently.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Insurance defense or federal court experience is a plus.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Indiana State Bar.
