A law firm in Columbia, MO is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of experience in personal injury law. The role involves managing personal injury caseloads, interacting with insurance companies, drafting legal documents, and providing supervision to non-attorney staff to ensure compliance with legal standards.

Job Details:

  • Collaborate with the legal team to share knowledge and expertise, ensuring high standards of legal services for clients.
  • Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
  • Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process.
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as required.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all legal documents prepared.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations in case management and document preparation.
  • Excel in a fast-paced work environment with exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and tech-savvy tools.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in Missouri.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
