Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Olympia, WA is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This position will focus primarily on family law cases, with opportunities for the associate to expand into additional areas of law. Location:

Duties:

  • Assist with a diverse family law caseload, including divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare briefs, and provide client consultations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Maintain case files, ensuring deadlines and legal requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and legal assistants to manage caseload effectively.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar is required.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow established office protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Olympia, WA if not already a local resident.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Washington State Bar admission (Required).
