Lateral Associate Attorney needed for Hollywood office

A law firm in Hollywood, FL, is seeking a Lateral Associate Attorney with experience in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling discovery, conducting and defending depositions, drafting pleadings, and overseeing document review processes. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting document reviews, and preparing discovery motions.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.
• Should have 2+ years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably with in-court experience.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
• Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
