Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A leading law firm in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a highly motivated attorney with a passion for litigation and employment law. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for an attorney with at least one year of litigation experience to enhance their career in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment. While prior employment law experience is advantageous, it is not required. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience working with senior attorneys and develop skills across a variety of employment-related cases.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a broad range of employment-related disputes, such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and agency charges.
  • Draft and respond to legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Offer strategic legal counsel on various employment law matters.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of civil litigation experience; employment law experience preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California State Bar membership is required.
