Location:

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications for innovations in electrical and computer science technologies.
• Collaborate with in-house teams and other legal professionals to develop and execute global IP strategies.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients, assisting in the development and protection of their intellectual property portfolios.
• Draft opinions of counsel, conduct due diligence investigations, and perform freedom-to-operate and patent landscape analyses.
• Participate in client-facing interactions, providing IP advice and strategic direction.
• Manage patent portfolios for clients in various high-tech sectors.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in patent law and the technology sector to provide informed legal counsel.

Requirements:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Must be a member of the U.S. Patent Bar.
• At least 2 years of patent drafting and prosecution experience.
• Strong technical background with expertise in electrical and computer science technologies.
• Experience working with high-technology clients, including those in industries such as AI, aerospace, and power generation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically about patent protection and IP strategies.

Education, Certifications, and Skills:

• A registered Patent Agent.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of patent prosecution and drafting experience, preferably in high-tech fields.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in patent law and intellectual property issues.
