A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to support its Florida office. Duties

  • Manage and support litigation cases in Florida.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials related to collections and foreclosure cases.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, offering guidance and expertise.
  • Monitor the progress of cases and develop strategies for efficient resolution.
  • Review and analyze all necessary documents, including financials, notices, and demand letters, before initiating legal actions.
  • Draft and revise pleadings, motions, and correspondence related to case filings.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in areas such as foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections.
  • Maintain accurate records and updates within internal case management systems.
  • Handle contested matters, including discovery processes and trial preparation.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive case information while demonstrating professionalism.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in litigation.
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of cases with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and handle deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in computer and office management systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar (required).
  • Additional Bar memberships in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and/or Pennsylvania are a plus.
