Job Overview

Duties

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Provide legal advice, counsel, and training to employers on various employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediation on matters such as class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour disputes, contract issues, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Class Action/PAGA experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
  • Minimum of 9+ years of experience in employment litigation, with significant first-chair management of litigation cases.
  • Current California Bar admission is in good standing.
  • Supervisory experience overseeing associates and paralegals, including delegation and feedback.
  • Comprehensive understanding of state and federal agency procedures.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Dedication to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Current California Bar membership.
