This role will focus on patent prosecution and involve drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Duties

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in various technology areas.
  • Work on patent portfolios and assist in patent strategy development for clients.
  • Collaborate with team members in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide patent-related legal advice.
  • Manage the prosecution of patent applications before the USPTO.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Education: Degree(s) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Licensing: Admission to the state bar and to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Collaborative and motivated to succeed in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field (preferred).

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills

  • Expertise in patent prosecution and drafting patent applications.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law, particularly patent law.
