Job Overview:

The Patent Agent will apply scientific principles and specialized knowledge to assist in the technical study, research, and analysis of technologies involved in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.

Duties:

  • Conducting prior art searches and patentability analyses.
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing legal documents related to patent prosecution.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on patent matters.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or closely related field.
  • 2 years of experience as a patent attorney or patent agent.
  • Must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Attorney or Patent Agent.

Education:

Certifications:
