A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Construction Associate Attorney with experience in construction claims, contract negotiation, and risk evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation or related fields with a strong interest in the construction industry.

Job Details:

  • Handle prosecution and defense of construction claims, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and related documents.
  • Evaluate and advise on risks associated with construction projects.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda on construction law issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders in the construction industry.
  • Assist senior attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and guidance on legal matters.
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's construction law practice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited, top-tier law school.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction law, construction litigation, or related fields.
  • Experience with prosecuting and/or defending construction claims preferred.
  • Knowledge of contract drafting and negotiation in the construction context.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Superior academic credentials.
