Job Overview

A New York City-based law firm seeks a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join its dedicated team, assisting accident victims and handling a diverse caseload of personal injury cases. This role involves representing plaintiffs, managing a substantial caseload, and working from intake to resolution, with support from an experienced team of litigation paralegals and clerks.

Duties

• Manage a personal injury caseload of approximately 150 cases, handling all aspects from intake to resolution
• Represent plaintiffs in various personal injury cases, including motor vehicle, premises, construction, and general negligence accidents
• Conduct and defend depositions, draft legal documents, and engage in negotiations
• Pursue case resolution through settlement, mediation, arbitration, or trial
• Collaborate with staff, including litigation paralegals and clerks, to effectively manage cases
• Utilize advanced case management software (Salesforce-based) to track case progress and ensure productivity
• Maintain professional and effective communication with clients throughout the legal process

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury litigation
• Active New York Bar Admission
• Proficiency in legal writing, deposition handling, and case negotiation
• Trial experience is a plus, but not mandatory

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York
