Job Overview: A top-tier law firm is seeking a skilled mid- to senior-level Business Litigation Attorney to join its renowned global construction and engineering disputes practice. This role requires substantial experience in commercial litigation, with an ideal background in construction, infrastructure, and/or energy disputes. The position is available in several major U.S. cities, providing the opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes cases within a fast-paced environment.

Location:

  • Washington, D.C.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage litigation and/or arbitration teams on complex construction and engineering disputes
  • Represent clients in commercial litigation cases, focusing on construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors
  • Develop and implement case strategies, with a focus on client service and high-quality advocacy
  • Oversee case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Deliver exceptional oral and written advocacy in court and arbitration settings
  • Coordinate with clients, ensuring clear communication and a proactive approach to their needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant commercial litigation experience with a large law firm
  • Strong background in construction, infrastructure, or energy disputes, with a combination of litigation and international arbitration experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing dispute teams and cases efficiently
  • Local bar admission in the state where the candidate will work
  • Foreign language skills are a plus but not required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the relevant state jurisdiction
