Job Overview: A well-established Ohio law firm is seeking a dedicated and passionate Personal Injury Attorney to represent plaintiffs in personal injury and workers' compensation cases. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Dayton, OH. The attorney will handle a variety of responsibilities, including client meetings, discovery, depositions, hearings, court appearances, and settlement negotiations. Recent law graduates who have passed the July 2024 Ohio Bar Exam are welcome to apply.

Location:

  • Dayton, OH

Duties:

  • Represent plaintiffs in personal injury and workers' compensation cases.
  • Manage client meetings and develop strong client relationships.
  • Conduct discovery and depositions.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
  • Attend hearings and court appearances.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Travel throughout Ohio for client meetings and case-related matters, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Ohio Bar (or recent passage of the July 2024 Ohio Bar Exam).
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Ohio as required.
  • Valid driver's license.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Ohio Bar License (or recent passage of Ohio Bar Exam).

Certifications:

  • Ohio Bar admission (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Ohio personal injury law and workers' compensation law.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office.
