Job Overview:

The Mid-level Intellectual Property - Life Sciences Associate Attorney will primarily handle patent prosecution in the biotechnology sector, leveraging expertise in life sciences technology areas. This role requires membership in the Patent Bar (USPTO Registration Number) and 1-5 years of patent prosecution experience.

 

Duties:

  • Conducting patent prosecution and drafting patent applications related to life sciences technologies.
  • Providing legal counsel and support on intellectual property matters, including patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analyses, and due diligence reviews.
  • Managing client relationships and communication regarding intellectual property strategies and portfolio management.
  • Performing legal research and analysis to support client initiatives and litigation efforts in the life sciences field.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys and stakeholders within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Patent Bar membership (USPTO Registration Number) is required.
  • 1-5 years of patent prosecution experience in a biotechnology practice.
  • Preferably holds an advanced degree (Ph.D.) in a life sciences technology area.
