Duties

  • Oversee and manage civil litigation cases from inception through resolution

  • Conduct depositions, court appearances, and motion hearings

  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and legal briefs

  • Engage directly with clients, providing strategic legal guidance and updates

  • Negotiate settlements and explore alternative dispute resolution strategies

  • Collaborate with internal teams for effective case handling and trial prep

  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely case updates

  • Participate in mediation and pre-trial proceedings

  • Build and sustain client relationships to support firm development goals

  • Monitor relevant legal developments impacting active cases

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing civil litigation

  • Currently licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

  • In-depth understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal drafting

  • Prior courtroom and deposition experience required

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively

  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills

  • Comfortable participating in business development initiatives

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications
