A law firm located in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental and Land Use Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in environmental regulatory defense and a strong background in drafting briefs and motions. Judicial clerkship experience is a plus. The role requires excellent writing skills, a solid work history, strong academic credentials, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in environmental regulatory defense and land use matters.
  • Draft, review, and file legal briefs, motions, and other documents related to environmental and land use issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies for environmental and land use cases.
  • Participate in negotiations and discussions with regulatory agencies, clients, and opposing counsel.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on environmental regulations, compliance, and land use planning.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to manage case progress and client relationships.
  • Stay updated on changes in environmental laws, regulations, and industry practices.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-5 years of experience in environmental regulatory defense and land use law.
  • Experience with drafting legal briefs and motions.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills, work experience, and academic credentials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia.
