Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies in complex transactions, demonstrate strong analytical abilities, and be committed to excellence in legal practice.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and business professionals verbally and in writing.
  • Produce high-quality legal documents and deliverables within specified deadlines.
  • Maintain responsiveness in handling client inquiries and correspondence.
  • Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Engage in various activities, including computer-based work, virtual meetings, and occasional travel as required.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience advising on private equity transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments.
  • Prior experience at a reputable AmLaw 100 firm or in SEC-related practice preferred.
  • Admission to practice law in New York State.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound business judgment and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Excellent organizational, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
