A law firm seeks an experienced attorney residing in Indiana who is actively licensed to practice law. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience and an additional license in one or more of the following states: Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, or West Virginia. This position calls for a proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about legal practice.

Duties:

  • Independently manage cases from initiation through resolution.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at achieving favorable outcomes based on case information and ongoing investigations.
  • Communicate substantively with courts, administrative offices, financial institutions, and clients.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
  • Attend hearings and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Indiana, with an additional active license in one or more specified states preferred.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Indiana, with additional licensure preferred.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, capable of thriving in a home office environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
