Mid-Level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm specializing in intellectual property law is seeking a Mid-Level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney with a strong background in patent litigation. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in patent litigation, preferably with exposure to district court, International Trade Commission (ITC), and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings. Duties:

• Manage patent litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy and legal issues.
• Provide counsel on intellectual property matters, including patent validity and infringement.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in New York (active and in good standing).
• Patent Bar admission is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in patent litigation.
• Strong technical background in electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
