Associate Attorney needed for Atlanta office

A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for their Atlanta, GA location.

Job Overview: The Associate Attorney will represent corporate clients in Federal and State Courts, focusing on civil actions related to property damage. They will collaborate with forensic experts, draft legal documents, attend court hearings, and maintain client communication.

Duties:

• Represent corporate clients in Federal and State Courts, handling civil actions related to property damage.
• Collaborate with a variety of forensic experts to investigate and evaluate the legal and financial viability of different causes of action in both single and multi-party litigation.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare for, attend, and present at court hearings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic credentials demonstrating strong legal aptitude.
• Admission to the Georgia bar is required.
• 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in product defect claims, property damage claims, or construction issues.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Georgia bar.

Skills:

• 2 years of litigation experience.
• Experience working with various forensic experts.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
