A law firm in Saint Louis Park, MN, is seeking an experienced Employment Law Matters Associate Attorney to provide expert counsel and guidance on various employer-side employment law issues, mainly focusing on non-profit organizations.

Duties:

  • Manage a team of support professionals to effectively address legal concerns and provide proactive solutions for non-profit clients.
  • Collaborate closely with non-profit organizations, their boards of directors, and key staff to navigate complex employment issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including severance agreements, opinion letters, policies, and procedures tailored to non-profit needs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to ensure compliance with evolving employment laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to support professionals to deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in employer-side employment law; 5-7 years of overall attorney experience preferred.
  • Mastery of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management.
  • Knowledge of non-profit laws and regulations is advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law.
