Job Overview
A well-established law firm specializing in Lemon Law is seeking a Senior Attorney with extensive litigation experience to join their team in Orange County, CA. The role involves representing consumers who have unknowingly purchased defective vehicles, with a focus on aggressive litigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to serve the public interest and will be capable of navigating complex legal matters while collaborating with internal teams and firm clients. This is a hybrid role offering a blend of in-office and remote work.

Duties

  • Conducted complex legal research and assisted in the prosecution of consumer protection cases.
  • Serve as second or third chair in trial efforts.
  • Draft motions, oppositions, and handle complex legal issues.
  • Appear at hearings and present arguments for motions and oppositions.
  • Conduct depositions of witnesses, including experts and company executives.
  • Assist with trial strategy and preparation.
  • Supervise and mentor entry-level and mid-level associate attorneys.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in client communication processes.
  • Collaborate on the development and improvement of firm policies and procedures.
  • Resolve any legal issues that may arise in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience in consumer protection or related legal areas preferred.
  • Active member in good standing with the California Bar.
  • Strong legal research and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, depositions, and vehicle inspections.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds as required.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed attorney, member of the California Bar in good standing.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in supervising junior attorneys is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Strong interest in consumer protection and legal advocacy.
  • Ability to operate in a paperless environment and willingness to learn new technologies.
