A law firm seeks an experienced and dynamic Associate Litigation Attorney to join its team in Philadelphia, PA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters, focusing primarily on catastrophic loss cases for plaintiffs. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, as well as a passion for handling depositions and making court appearances. Duties:

  • Manage and litigate catastrophic loss cases, representing plaintiffs in a variety of legal matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, and draft compelling motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Handle depositions and actively participate in trial preparation and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide effective legal counsel to clients.
  • Maintain communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the legal process.
  • Contribute to case development, focusing on professional negligence and commercial dispute matters.
  • Work efficiently in a small office environment, with a focus on achieving favorable results for clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience in litigation, with a preference for handling plaintiff-side cases.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Comfortable handling depositions and appearing in court as needed.
  • Experience with catastrophic loss cases, professional negligence, or commercial disputes is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of cases while contributing to a collaborative team effort.
  • A strong desire to develop trial experience and take on significant responsibilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar is required.
