A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Pre-Litigation Negotiation Attorney to join its dynamic team in Burbank, CA. This position focuses on managing a docket of employment law cases in the pre-litigation phase, engaging in settlement negotiations, and advocating for clients’ rights in employment-related matters. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, a solid background in employment law, and a client-oriented approach to securing favorable outcomes before litigation.

Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of employment law cases in the pre-litigation stage.
  • Engage with opposing counsel to negotiate favorable settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including attorneys and support staff, to ensure clear communication and efficiency throughout the process.
  • Draft, review, and finalize settlement agreements and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice to clients and guide them through the pre-litigation process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and relevant regulations to effectively represent clients.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in employment law.
  • Proven track record in pre-litigation negotiations and settlement advocacy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent client service skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Must be in good standing with the California State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the California State Bar.
