Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of litigation matters under the supervision of partners.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses tailored to case specifics.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memorandums on case-related issues.
  • Attend hearings, court conferences, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
  • Participate in inspections and other investigative activities pertinent to cases.
  • Consult with expert witnesses to develop case strategies and strengthen arguments.
  • Attend mediations to facilitate settlement negotiations when appropriate.
  • Prepare diligently for trials, including organizing evidence and drafting trial briefs.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar; certification for admission is acceptable.
  • 1-5 years of litigation or professional liability experience preferred.
  • Superior analytical skills to assess legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for clear and persuasive advocacy.
  • Ability to manage own caseload effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar is a plus.

Education and Certifications:
