Mid-to Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Mid-to Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with substantial experience in patent litigation, particularly in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science disciplines. The role requires USPTO admission and offers direct responsibility in various litigation tasks, including drafting pleadings, motions, and managing trial preparations.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Manage complex discovery requests and responses.
• Negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions in limine, and witness preparation.
• Draft Federal Circuit appeal briefs, if necessary.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates.

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of patent litigation experience, with a focus on drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trials.
• Experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science disciplines preferred.
• USPTO admission required.
• Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Excellent judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
