A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its International Wealth & Asset Planning practice in Downtown Denver. This position is ideal for candidates with 1-5 years of experience, particularly those with an interest in international trust planning, the creation of international entities for planning purposes, and tax reduction strategies. The firm values candidates with a collaborative mindset and entrepreneurial drive. Duties

  • Assist with international trust planning and the establishment of international companies for asset planning purposes.
  • Work on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and due diligence procedures.
  • Support tax reduction strategies for individuals and entities.
  • Contribute to the drafting and administration of estate plans, including trusts and tax-related matters.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance documentation for international clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex international wealth management matters.
  • Engage in client communication to provide legal advice and recommendations.
  • Support the administration of estates and trusts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in tax, trust, and estate planning.
  • Strong interest in international trust planning and wealth management.
  • Knowledge of international tax law and estate administration is a plus.
  • Experience with transactional trust, tax planning, or estate work is highly desirable.
  • Colorado Bar admission required.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • LL.M. in Taxation (preferred but not required).
  • Colorado State Bar admission required.

  • Strong analytical and research abilities in tax and estate law.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents related to trusts, estates, and tax planning.
  • Familiarity with international tax laws and estate planning strategies.
