Associate Attorney Litigation

A law firm seeks a dedicated and talented Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Las Vegas, NV. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex matters, including contract disputes, personal injury, wrongful death, commercial disputes, and business law. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. Duties:

• Handle a wide range of litigation matters, including premises liability, auto liability, product liability, healthcare, wrongful death, and personal injury (primarily defense).
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Manage litigation caseload from initiation to resolution, including overseeing discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients and provide regular updates on case status.
• Prepare for and appear in court for motions, trials, and other proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and work effectively with team members to develop case strategies.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of case developments to clients and partners.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in litigation, including premises liability, auto liability, product liability, healthcare, wrongful death, and personal injury.
• Experience in managing a litigation caseload independently.
• Strong experience drafting legal documents, including briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
• Proven ability to conduct legal research and present findings effectively.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, ADR proceedings, and trial appearances.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, partners, and team members.
• Active member of the Nevada State Bar in good standing.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Client-focused attitude with a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.
