Litigation Practice Attorney Financial Services Litigation

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Practice Attorney with a strong background in financial services litigation to join their team. The position requires a professional with expertise in handling all litigation phases, including substantial in-court experience. This is a non-partner track role, offering opportunities to work on significant cases within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in financial services litigation, managing cases from initiation to resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, including discovery, dispositive, injunctive relief motions, and appeals.
• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed briefs, memoranda, and other court documents.
• Handle substantive courtroom proceedings and litigation strategy development.
• Collaborate with team members on case strategies and legal analysis.
• Optionally engage in bankruptcy and class action litigation, as experience allows.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of litigation experience, preferably in financial services disputes.
• Significant in-court experience, including motion practice and appeals.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex caseloads effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Admission to practice in New Jersey and New York or New Jersey and Pennsylvania (admission in all three is preferred).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in applicable jurisdictions (New Jersey and New York or New Jersey and Pennsylvania).
