A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its team in Sewell, New Jersey. The position focuses on managing a variety of defense matters, including premises liability, transportation claims, construction defect disputes, and catastrophic loss cases. After completing training in the firm's Washington Township office, the attorney will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid schedule, combining in-office and remote work.

Duties

  • Represent clients in insurance defense and self-insured matters across various practice areas, including premises liability, transportation, construction defect, and catastrophic loss.
  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other key documents.
  • Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes.
  • Develop case strategies and provide detailed updates to clients.
  • Argue motions in court and participate in hearings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to deliver exceptional legal services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • Proficiency in handling cases involving premises liability, transportation, construction defects, and similar matters.
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Team-oriented approach with a commitment to client service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania is required.
