A law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Insurance and Reinsurance Associate Attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. Extensive civil litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and managing all facets of discovery, is required. The candidate should demonstrate superior research and writing abilities and have experience in business development, client management, and independent case management.

Duties:

  • Analyze and interpret insurance policies, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
  • Handle insurance coverage disputes and reinsurance matters.
  • Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other legal documents.
  • Manage all facets of discovery, including discovery motion practice.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and manage cases independently.
  • Engage in business development activities to expand the firm's client base.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments related to insurance and reinsurance.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 6 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues under various policies.
  • Extensive experience in drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and handling discovery and discovery motion practice.
  • Experience with business development, client management, and independent case management preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated superior research and writing ability.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar or eligibility to practice in Georgia.
