A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled International Employment Attorney for a non-partnership track role. This position involves providing employment counseling on both domestic and international matters, particularly for cross-border transactions. The attorney will work closely with global teams to provide legal guidance on a variety of employment issues, including workforce restructuring, corporate transactions, and employee mobility. Duties

  • Advise clients on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including conducting employment diligence.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and severance agreements.
  • Provide legal guidance on reductions in force, employee terminations, and other workforce management issues.
  • Counsel on employee mobility, including drafting restrictive covenants and advising on cross-border employee movements.
  • Support emerging companies with all aspects of employment law.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various office locations and work on international employment matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employment counseling, with a focus on both domestic and international matters.
  • Strong experience in advising on corporate transactions and employment-related agreements.
  • Background in international counseling is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with clients.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where the candidate is applying.
