Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation, including drafting and filing legal documents, preparing case strategies, and presenting arguments in court.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Engage in discovery processes, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing depositions.
• Negotiate settlements and manage case resolutions to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and counsel on legal matters.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and share expertise.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and legal standards.
• Manage a caseload effectively, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work quality.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in litigation with a proven track record of handling complex cases.
• Federal court experience preferred but not required.
• Strong legal advocacy and writing skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be a self-starter with a proactive approach to case management.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York State (New York Bar license required).
