Job Overview:
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to handle a diverse caseload, including removal defense, family-based petitions, and humanitarian visas. This role offers an opportunity to advocate for immigrant clients, providing high-quality legal representation in court proceedings and before government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for immigrant rights, excellent legal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Location:

  • Towson, MD

Duties:

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings, bond hearings, and other immigration-related court matters.
  • Prepare and file applications with USCIS, Immigration Court, and consulates.
  • Provide legal counsel and direct representation for asylum cases, family-based petitions, humanitarian visas (U, T, VAWA), SIJS, TPS, and waivers.
  • Collaborate with clients and community organizations to offer trauma-informed and culturally competent representation.
  • Travel to detention centers when necessary to meet with clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law (preferably in removal defense, asylum, humanitarian visas, or family-based petitions).
  • Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload efficiently.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar admission in Maryland or another U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Excellent research, writing, and litigation skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Passion for immigrant rights and advocacy.
