Job Title: Senior-Level Copyright/Trademark Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A prestigious law firm based in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior-Level Associate Attorney to join its Intellectual Property Litigation team. This role focuses on handling complex cases involving trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and commercial disputes. Ideal candidates will have a strong litigation background and a proven track record of success in managing intellectual property matters.

Duties

  • Represent clients in high-stakes intellectual property disputes, including trademark, copyright, and trade secrets litigation.
  • Handle cases before regulatory and judicial bodies such as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and International Trade Commission (ITC).
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare motions, briefs, and other court filings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams to develop strategies for case management and resolution.
  • Participate in pre-trial preparations, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Provide clients with strategic advice on intellectual property enforcement, protection, and dispute resolution.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5-7 years of litigation experience with a focus on intellectual property, particularly trademark, copyright, trade secrets, and commercial disputes.
  • Bar Admission: Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Credentials: Demonstrated academic excellence and exceptional professional achievements.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with proceedings before the USPTO, TTAB, FTC, and ITC.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic performance.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar is required.
