Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm is seeking a highly motivated Employment Law Associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group. This position involves handling a variety of employment-related legal matters, including pre-litigation issues, single-plaintiff disputes, wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions. The role offers opportunities for significant case management, direct client interaction, and courtroom advocacy.

Location:

Duties:

  • Handle pre-litigation matters, high-profile employment cases, and systemic discrimination claims.

  • Work on wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions.

  • Respond to administrative charges and counsel clients on various employment-related issues.

  • Take an active role in developing strategies for complex employment cases.

  • Conduct and defend depositions.

  • Make court appearances, argue motions, and represent clients in mediations.

  • Engage in legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law.

  • Experience managing cases and working directly with corporate clients.

  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
