A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Attorney to join its team in Torrance, CA. The successful candidate will assist with legal research, drafting motions and pleadings, and representing clients in various legal matters. Duties:

  • Analyze legal conflicts and provide advice and solutions to clients.
  • Draft legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts.
  • Assist with case preparation for hearings, trials, and legal proceedings.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and ensure accurate case documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure smooth case management.
  • Represent clients in negotiations under the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Maintain organized case files and client records for internal use.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in California, with active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Ability to perform legal research, draft motions, and assist with hearings and trials.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset, capable of handling complex legal matters.
  • Ability to work efficiently under the supervision of senior attorneys.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California State Bar membership.
  • Membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) is preferred.
