Job Overview: A law firm located in New York City, NY, is seeking a highly qualified CFIUS and International Trade/Export Controls Associate Attorney. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on international trade regulations, including CFIUS, U.S. export controls, and ITAR.
  • Advise clients on compliance with international trade laws and regulations, including the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS).
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support trade compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory filings.
  • Represent clients in matters before government agencies, including CFIUS and export control authorities.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in international trade regulations and advise clients on implications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of trade compliance programs for clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm on complex legal matters.
  • Provide training and guidance to clients on regulatory compliance and risk management.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in international trade regulatory, compliance, and enforcement.
  • Strong knowledge of CFIUS, U.S. export controls, and ITAR.
  • General knowledge of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred.
  • Must be admitted and actively barred in New York.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted and actively barred in New York.
