Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a litigation associate attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join its team in New York, NY. The position involves handling diverse legal matters, with a focus on real estate litigation, including cooperative and condominium representation. Duties

• Represent clients in real estate-related litigation, including cases involving condominiums, cooperatives, construction disputes, landlord-tenant matters, and foreclosures.
• Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to craft effective strategies and provide actionable advice to clients.
• Communicate with clients and real estate professionals regarding case progress, legal matters, and strategies.
• Appear in court proceedings, administrative hearings, arbitrations, and trials on behalf of clients.
• Manage multiple cases, track deadlines, and maintain accurate records to ensure efficient case progression.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to deliver high-quality legal services and achieve client objectives.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to real estate-related matters.
• Strong writing and analytical abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in client communication and collaboration with other professionals.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team under deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
