Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Location:

• Washington, DC

Duties:

• Handle complex commercial litigation cases, with a focus on Construction & Real Estate disputes.
• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and participate in trials.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of legal matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies.
• Participate in alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations and arbitrations.
• Engage in business development activities and relationship-building within the legal community.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Significant experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Hearing and trial experience required.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced workload with complex legal issues.
• Must be admitted to practice in Washington, DC (additional admission in Virginia and/or Maryland is a plus).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Washington, DC Bar (Virginia and/or Maryland Bar admission preferred).

• Strong litigation skills, including taking depositions and trial preparation.
