Job Overview: A law firm based in Pittsburgh, PA is looking for a Workers' Compensation and Medicare Compliance Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience to join their expanding Medicare Compliance team within the Workers' Compensation Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising clients, consulting on Medicare-related issues, and supporting case resolution efforts.

Duties:

  • Consult with employers, adjusters, and attorneys on Medicare issues in workers' compensation and other defense litigation cases.
  • Educate clients on handling Medicare set-asides effectively.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for achieving favorable case resolution outcomes, including structured settlements.
  • Conduct conditional payment searches and prepare Medicare submissions for set-aside approval.
  • Draft Medicare-compliant settlement language for legal documents.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of relevant legal experience in workers' compensation and Medicare compliance.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Medicare set-asides and defense litigation strategies.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Pennsylvania, or eligibility for admission.
