Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive regulatory advice and counsel to healthcare providers, specialty practices, and other healthcare-related entities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary legal team to support various healthcare law-related matters.
  • Advise clients on risk management strategies and compliance programs.
  • Handle healthcare transactions, regulatory compliance audits, and investigations.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving healthcare laws and offer proactive counsel on emerging regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience in advising healthcare providers on regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal matters.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and state healthcare regulatory bodies.
  • Strong background in managing healthcare-related transactions, compliance audits, and investigations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or eligible for admission.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly to non-legal professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, particularly in healthcare law.
