Litigation Associate General Commercial Litigation

Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of experience in general commercial litigation to join its expanding litigation team. Duties:

• Handle general commercial litigation matters, including depositions, motion practice, and hearings
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments
• Represent clients in various stages of litigation, including trial preparation
• Analyze complex legal issues and offer creative solutions to client challenges
• Participate in discovery, document review, and case management
• Engage in courtroom advocacy and client consultations

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of general commercial litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
• Experience or interest in taking depositions, arguing motions, and handling hearings
• Prior experience before the North Carolina Business Court is preferred but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the North Carolina State Bar or eligible for prompt admission
