A prominent law firm in Rockville, MD is seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Lawyer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to represent clients in all facets of family law, providing expert guidance in emotionally charged and complex situations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling cases related to divorce, custody disputes, alimony, and other sensitive family matters while maintaining professionalism and composure in high-stress environments.

Duties:

• Represent clients in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and prenuptial agreements
• Handle legal disputes involving child abuse, domestic violence, and child support
• Attend court hearings and trials, advocating on behalf of clients
• Negotiate settlements and work with clients to resolve issues outside of court
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout their cases
• Prepare legal documents, including petitions, motions, and agreements
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to clients’ situations
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience in family law or related legal fields
• Strong understanding of family law statutes, regulations, and precedents
• Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Maryland
